Getting ready

So I'm supposed to be studying for Step 2, but I'm concurrently sick with strep throat, planning a fundraiser party for the Chiapas Clinic, contemplating moving out of my apartment, and trying to plan a pre-trip vacation in Virginia. But this is my first post and as such will remain both chaotic and short. Friends, family: please follow my page as you please during my time abroad. I will be working in a medical clinic in the rural town of Amatan in Chiapas, Mexico (close to Guatemala). I am being sponsored by my school and mentored by Partners In Health (PIH) and motivated by myself, of course. I shall return about 9 months after my departure date of September 10, 2005. Ryan-

so glad it seems like things are looking up for you. Sounds like a really great environment there. I bet your Spanish and clinical skills are going to take off!!! Be south soon.
